A recycled product is crushed concrete, and not directly excavated from a quarry. Quarried products are more expensive because of that exact reason. For drainage they do the same job, however some believe quarried has a higher performance rating than recycled. However from a performance perspective, recycled drainage aggregates are just as durable and strong. Some differences lie in the colour, and occasionally other things can end up in recycled aggregates, like reo, such is the nature of recycled products. Some councils require your product to be quarried rather than recycled, so check with them if need be. But the secret is out- they do the same thing.
